How we came up with the idea
Growing up
When my daughters were growing up in South Africa, their favourite recess activity was to play a game they called Elastics. They made groups of three or more kids and ran outside every recess excited to do their Elastics routines with their friends. They even practised at home, using chairs instead of friends, to master the routines and to make new ones to share the next day at school.
Maybe you remember the game with nostalgia too?
My daughter, Cindy, and I were reminiscing about “the good old days” and wished that the kids of today could experience the same fun. Cindy said, “I loved elastics!” I said, “They were fantastic!” and so the name ELASTIK-FANTASTIK was born.
The Result
We have formed a mother-daughter company called ELASTIK-FANTASTIK, with the hope of instilling the same enthusiasm, joy and fun in kids today that Cindy and her friends had when she was growing up. Our ELASTIK-FANTASTIK routines are fun and energizing. Instead of sitting indoors at recess on cold, snowy winter days, kids can exercise in a dynamic way while learning and enjoying ELASTIK-FANTASTIK routines with their friends.
